One of our little maples shed it's leaves and they ended up under the tree.  There was just enough to make a small pile for the kids to play in.   They were both enjoying playing in it until Natalie snuck up behind Daniel and covered him with the leaves.  He didn't like that and decided he wanted to swing.  She didn't mind.  That meant it was all hers to play in.  It took him about 10 minutes to see how much fun she was having for him to decide to give it another try.  Of course after every jump, I had to rake the leaves back into a pile.

First it was some run and fall action.

Then she moved on to having the leaves piled around her.

Then it was fun to put them on her head and they'd stick to her hair.

By this time, someone wanted in on the action and copied being buried.

A little leaf tossing...

What's this?  Daniel found a ladybug.

Natalie was trying to get in on the holding of the ladybug, but he wasn't letting her.  We all know how much she likes them so I encouraged him to let her have a turn...

He didn't like that very much.

She didn't have it very long...

and he was a happier boy once he got it back.

Clean up time!  When it's something fun like leaves, it's easy to get them to help.

Can't wait to see how big the pile of leaves will be next year.
