The pool

Sunday was suppose to be warm and sunny, so we set up the small kiddie pool after lunch. The day wasn't as nice as expected, so by the time the kids went in it, the water hadn't warmed very much. Jon dumped a cooler full of hot water into it, but apparently that didn't help too much as both kid's hands and feet were freezing by the time they got into the house. They didn't seem to mind though.

Daniel ended up playing with a blue watering can most of the time. It's fun to pour the water over and over and over. He poured on everything from hands...

to feet...

to belly...

to mouth.

(oh yes she did. I informed her she shouldn't do that because the water isn't clean. After I took the picture though.)

Natalie tried to swim a bit, but I think we need a bigger pool for next year (Mrs. Stern - it was perfect the last couple of years when there was one kid and that kid was smaller). Another good reason - it has sprung a leak (duct tape helped for the time being). Anyway - Natalie trying to swim:

Daniel enjoyed the pool this time but still got rather annoyed when water would splash onto his face. Once again, Natalie was kind enough to wipe it off.

Stay tuned for the pool part II
